Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. The same purpose is served by other technologies — localStorage, tracking pixels, requests to external servers — which this page treats identically, because from a visitor’s point of view the difference does not matter.
Merely loading a resource hosted elsewhere tells that provider your IP address and browser, even when no cookie is stored. That is why on marcofabbri.com those resources are not loaded until you have made a choice.
How consent works on this site
On your first visit you are asked to choose. Before you choose, none of the services listed below are loaded: their scripts sit in the page inert, and no request is sent — not even a DNS lookup.
Your choice is remembered in your browser (in localStorage, not in a cookie) together with the date and the version of this policy. You can change it at any time through the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
If the services change, your previous choice is not carried over: you will be asked again.
Categories
Necessary — no consent required. Required for the site to work. They cannot be turned off. On this site there are two: the record of your own choice, which is what stops you being asked on every page, and the anti-spam check on the contact form. Neither profiles you, and both exist to do something you asked for.
Analytics — consent required. Used to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read.
External content and marketing — consent required. Maps, reviews, videos and similar content hosted by other companies, which would receive your IP address. This site uses none of them today; the option exists so that adding one later stays under your control.
Services used by marcofabbri.com
| Service | Provider | Category | Purpose | When it runs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google Ireland Ltd | Analytics | Aggregate visitor statistics | Only after consent |
| Turnstile | Cloudflare | Necessary | Keeps bots out of the contact form | On the contact page only, as it loads |
That is the whole list, and the second row is the only exception to what follows: everywhere else on this site — styles, scripts, fonts, images — everything is served from marcofabbri.com itself, so no other company learns that you were here.
Turnstile is in the necessary category, not because it is harmless but because it protects something you asked for: without it the form would be filled by bots within days. It receives your IP address and checks that you are a person; it does not set a profiling cookie and does not follow you elsewhere. If you never open the contact page, it never runs.
If you accept, Google receives your IP address and assigns your browser an identifier, and your data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the safeguards described in the Privacy Policy. Google’s own privacy notice governs what it does with it; this site does not control that.
Turning them off in your browser
Besides this site’s preferences, every browser can block or delete cookies from its own settings. That is a broader measure: it applies to all websites and may stop some of them from working properly.
Note that clearing your browser’s storage also clears the record of your choice, so this site will ask you again on your next visit. It has no other way to remember it.
