NCP-MCI 7 Now Speaks Italian

After publishing the English edition of Mastering NCP-MCI 7, I knew there was one more version I wanted to build.

Not because the exam changed.

Not because the platform changed.

But because the audience changed.

The Italian edition exists for people who work in IT, deal with English technical terms every day, but still learn complex infrastructure concepts better when the explanation is in their own language.

The goal is not to make the certification feel easier. The goal is to make Nutanix easier to study properly.

Why language still matters

In IT, English is unavoidable.

Product names, documentation, commands, error messages, certification blueprints, and release notes are often written in English. That is part of the job, and anyone working seriously in infrastructure needs to be comfortable with it.

But there is a difference between using English terminology and learning complex platform concepts through English explanations.

For many Italian professionals, the barrier is not technical ability. It is friction.

That friction can slow down learning, make concepts feel harder than they really are, and sometimes push people toward memorization instead of understanding.

That is exactly what I wanted to reduce.

Not just to pass the exam

The Italian edition of Mastering NCP-MCI 7 is still focused on the NCP-MCI 7.5 exam.

But the exam is not the whole point.

A certification can validate knowledge, create structure, and give people a clear target. That is useful. But if the learning path only helps someone survive the exam, the value fades quickly after the badge is earned.

I wanted the Italian edition to help readers study Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure properly.

That means understanding AOS 7.5, AHV 11.0, and Prism Central 7.5 as parts of the same platform. It means connecting storage, networking, VM lifecycle, security, data protection, lifecycle management, monitoring, and operations into one coherent foundation.

The certification is the target.

Becoming stronger with Nutanix is the real goal.

The same framework in Italian

The English edition started from a framework: take the exam blueprint, correlate it with the official documentation, organize the topics into a learning path, and explain the platform instead of turning the exam scope into a checklist.

The Italian edition follows the same idea.

It is not meant to be a simplified version. It is not meant to remove technical depth. It is meant to make the same path more accessible to readers who can work with English, but still absorb complex explanations better in Italian.

That distinction matters.

A good technical translation is not only about replacing words. It has to preserve structure, logic, sequence, and intent. It has to keep the terminology clear without forcing awkward translations where English terms are already part of the platform language.

The result is Mastering NCP-MCI 7 · Edizione Italiana, a 484-page study guide for the NCP-MCI 7.5 exam.

Technical terms can stay technical

I did not want to translate everything at all costs.

Some terms should remain in English because that is how engineers will see them in the product, in the documentation, in support conversations, and in real environments.

AOS is AOS. AHV is AHV. Prism Central is Prism Central. Concepts such as lifecycle management, image services, guest customization, VM startup policies, storage containers, protection policies, and workload migration have their own technical context.

The value of the Italian edition is not pretending those terms do not exist.

The value is explaining the reasoning around them in Italian, so readers can move faster from terminology to understanding.

That is where learning becomes more natural.

What the Italian edition includes

The Italian edition keeps the same platform-first approach as the English book.

It covers the core areas behind the NCP-MCI 7.5 exam, including cluster deployment, storage, networking, security, VM lifecycle management, guest customization, startup policies, data protection, disaster recovery, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, lifecycle management, upgrades, and workload migration with Nutanix Move.

It also includes 110 original practice questions with detailed explanations, end-of-chapter exam reminders, a CLI quick reference for ncli, acli, and nuclei, a glossary, and a pre-exam checklist.

The practice questions are not real exam questions. They were created from scratch to test concepts, not reproduce the exam.

The purpose is still the same: understand why an answer is correct, not memorize a question bank.

A dedicated Italian edition

This edition also has something that makes it feel different from a simple language variant.

It includes a dedicated foreword by Christian Turcati, Sr. Director Systems Engineering for Nutanix Southern Europe, alongside the original foreword by Joshua Andrews, Senior Staff Technical Certification Developer at Nutanix.

That matters to me because this edition is aimed at a specific community of readers.

The Italian Nutanix community includes administrators, consultants, architects, students, and infrastructure professionals who may be very capable technically, but still prefer to build their foundation in Italian.

This book is for them.

Not to avoid English.

Not to avoid the official documentation.

But to make the learning path clearer before going deeper into the broader Nutanix ecosystem.

Why this matters

Nutanix expertise should not start with a language barrier.

If someone wants to become better with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure, the first obstacle should not be whether they can comfortably study hundreds of pages of complex technical explanations in English.

The real work should be understanding the platform.

How the components fit together.

Why the operational workflows exist.

How design and administration decisions affect availability, security, lifecycle, and daily operations.

That is the kind of knowledge that matters beyond the exam.
